If you use the site Where I’ve Been, the travel bucks program will be ending on November 16th, 2012.

From their site:

What Are Travel Bucks?
Feed a child in Mali. Adopt a manatee. Provide clean water in Mozambique.
These are just a few of many philanthropic things you can do by using Travel Bucks. It’s simple. All you have to do is interact with Where I’ve Been. The more you do, the more virtual travel bucks you earn.
Think about it. You could be saving 45,867 trees in no time.”

One of the easiest ways to earn travel bucks is to answer the daily trivia question. There are over 1500 questions going back to at least 2008 (where I am answering right now). I love answering the questions even if I have absolutely no idea of the answer, so my ratio of right:wrong answers is about 50:50 right now. I still do it because apart from helping a good cause (since they announced the end of the program, I’ve saved up $14,000 right now to contribute to the most expensive causes), it’s entertaining to learn about different landmarks, capitals, traditional dishes, etc. through the questions. Obviously I could just Google the answers to earn more bucks, but I like guessing and trying to determine the languages that names are written in.

Anyway, I just wanted to pass along the info. Even if you aren’t yet using this app, there is still time to join the Travel Bucks program!
